This master class is aimed at active students of the Department of Vocal & Opera Studies of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music.
Passive participants & application deadline:
The master class is open to all students of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music and the Bartók Conservatory as passive participants free of charge. Others must register at borzi.zoltan@zeneakademia.hu email address by noon, 27th February, 2026.
The Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music is not issuing attendance certificates for passive participants.
Anna Korondi was born in Budapest into a family of musicians.
Anna Korondi was born in Budapest into a family of musicians. She began her studies at the Bartók Béla Secondary School of Music in Budapest and continued at the Konservatorium Wien, where she graduated with distinction in 1993 under the guidance of Margarete Bence and David Lutz. During her studies, she was already a member of the ORF Choir Wien, appearing both as a soloist and as an interpreter of contemporary repertoire. Between 1993 and 1997 she was a member of the Komische Oper Berlin, followed by engagements at Theater Bonn from 1997 to 1999, where she established herself as a leading lyric soprano. She is a prize-winner of numerous international singing competitions including the ARD International Music Competition, of which she was the second-prize winner. She is a frequent guest at distinguished opera houses and festivals such as the Bavarian State Opera, the Salzburg Festival and the Bayreuth Festival. She has collaborated with ensembles and conductors including Concentus Musicus Wien, the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra, Zubin Mehta, Pierre Boulez and Nikolaus Harnoncourt. Since 2013 she has been Professor at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin, where in addition to her vocal studio she also leads a course in contemporary music. Her artistry is characterized by a broad repertoire, an active international concert career and significant pedagogical work.
