Balázs Renczés cello master class at Liszt Academy

Balázs Renczés was born in 1994 and has been playing the cello since the age of five; his first teacher was Krisztina Dávid. Since September 2008, he has been a student of György Déri at the Preparatory Department of School for Exceptional Young Talents at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music.

He has won a total of three first prizes, one second prize, and one third prize in domestic and international competitions. He is currently a cellist with the Aalborg Symphony Orchestra in Denmark. He completed his studies at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. One of the most outstanding talents of his generation, he considers it very important to pass on his knowledge and experience to young cello students.

During the three-day course, he gives one-on-one lessons to cello students to help them master various pieces, as well as group lessons in which students can learn about orchestral positions and ensemble playing.
