Kodály Course
English-language e-learning course
Dear Students,
On behalf of the Zoltán Kodály Musical Pedagogy Institute of the Liszt Academy, I would like to invite everyone to a short introductory course.
You might be curious to know how the 150-year-old Liszt Academy, founded by Ferenc Liszt, comes to have so many talented and well-trained young Hungarian musicians? What is the secret behind the success of Hungarian music education, which has made us world-famous and inspired you to choose this university? Besides Ferenc Liszt, there is another name—that of the renowned composer Zoltán Kodály—who, through his efforts and work, and by consistently implementing the pedagogical concept known by his name, laid the foundation for Hungarian music education and the success of Hungarian musicians around the world.
At the Kodály Institute of the Liszt Academy, we have developed an English-language e-learning course that we would like to present to international students to introduce them to Zoltán Kodály's life's work and his music education concept.
My colleague, researcher Dr. Zsuzsanna Polyák, who developed the training material, and I invite anyone interested to attend this 90-minute course.
Participants may be awarded 1 credit for completing the course upon certifying the participation with the Masterclass Certificate downloaded from Neptun (under ’Administration’, ’General Forms’, the sample is available on the website.)
Course location and time: March 25, 2026, 11:00 a.m., Lecture Hall 018, Building W52.
Registration is recommended: https://forms.office.com/e/MXGYbbmtUB?origin=lprLink
Registration deadline: 24 March, noon.
Best regards,
Dr. Judit Rajk
Director of the Kodály Institute
