ERASMUS exchange student opportunity to Japan
Dear Students!
The Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music has successfully applied for student mobility to the Asian region under the ERASMUS + KA 171 programme. As a result, we are now opening applications for a 5-month exchange student mobility at Tokyo University of Arts in Tokyo. During this period, you can take classes with renowned teachers from this prestigious university.
The call is open for the autumn semester 2026 and spring semester 2027.
As with ERASMUS in Europe, this scholarship will provide participants with a monthly allowance and travel support. The scholarship will most likely not cover all costs incurred. Students will have to cover some of their own daily living and transport costs
Students will receive a one-off travel grant of €1735. In addition, a monthly grant of €700 is paid. The travel allowance and the monthly grant will be paid in one lump sum before the student leaves to Japan. The total grant is 1735 EUR + (5*700 EUR) = 5235 EUR
The student will have the possibility to apply for a place in the university's own dormitory (Geishinryo) if there is room available, or in the international dormitory run by JASSO (non-profit organisation). Unfortunately, we cannot give any guarantee that you will definately get into the places above.
In addition, it is possible to look for rental rooms and sharehouses.
In case of a successful application to the dormitory please pay attention to deadlines and e-mails from the university.
For further details, please consult the links below. Alternatively, please contact Mr. Balázs Jankus in the International and Institutional Development Department at jankus.balazs@academy.liszt.hu
