The Liszt Academy regularly provides its most outstanding young performers with the opportunity to showcase their talent before a wider audience. This evening, a cellist and a clarinetist offer a glimpse into their exceptional instrumental mastery.
Izumi Hagiwara, a student of Miklós Perényi, is already a frequent guest on the concert stage. She has appeared as a soloist with the MÁV Symphony Orchestra and the Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra, and since 2023, she has been a member of the Wanderer Quartet. Her festival appearances include the Kammermusikfest Lockenhaus, the Tiberius Festival, and Quartettissimo.
Zsombor Eszenyi began his studies at the Liszt Academy’s School for Exceptional Young Talents and is completing his Master’s degree this year under the tutelage of Zsolt Szatmári and Csaba Pálfi. The young clarinetist has performed in Austria, Japan, and Chile, appearing at numerous prestigious international festivals. His competition record is equally notable: following a first-prize win at the European Clarinet Association competition, he was named a Young Artist representative for RZ Clarinets.
