ECMA showcase Presented by Liszt Academy

Nearing its 20th birthday, the European Chamber Music Academy has been an outstanding success. Among the goals, we find the wish to serve as a fertile ground on which the musical world of tomorrow can blossom freely while remaining deeply rooted in the noble European musical traditions of the past. Shining light on chamber music, supporting experimental openness and artistic independence are also among the hallmarks of all the ECMA activities. The international programme of ECMA, the ECMA PRO was called to life as a workshop in which young, exceptionally talented ensembles can not only perfect their knowledge through master classes, but can also introduce themselves through high-profiled festival performances and showcase-type concerts. The Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music is pleased to join this programme. The ECMA PRO Budapest round of masterclasses in 2022 is going to be crowned on 10th April with two consecutive concerts in the Solti Hall.  Surrounded from early childhood by chamber music, members of Trio Hélios find it natural to tirelessly and passionately explore the diverse repertoire for piano trio. Apart from many international awards, it is a telling fact that they are regularly invited to return to renown concert halls. Artists in residence in 2015 and 2016 at Festival de la Roque d’Anthéron, they held the same position in 2016 and 2018 at Festival des Arcs. Members of Trio Carmine (Latvia/Switzerland) come from different musical backgrounds resulting in different techniques and interpretations. This is what makes it interesting for them to play music together, while enjoying the connection with other art-forms as well. Their artistic curiosity together with the fact that they are all accomplished musicians guarantees a rich, unique sound.
