Bartók World Competition - Violin 2023 / Semi-final 1 Presented by Liszt Academy
Launched in 2017, instrumental rounds are only in every two years, focusing on those segments of the performing arts—piano, violin and chamber music—that are of particular importance in Bartók's oeuvre. In the odd years, there is a composers' competition, always linked to the instrumental repertoire of the following year. In 2022, the composers' competition was for violin-piano duos, and two award-winning pieces were selected as the compulsory pieces for the current semi-final: all competitors must perform one of them.
