The kiss of the muse, or inspiration: this is the intersection of the four masterpieces that will be performed on the evening of Anima Musicae and violinist David Grimal. The program is framed by two iconic string orchestral works by one of the greatest geniuses of the 20th century, Igor Stravinsky, and as a counterpoint, Johann Sebastian Bach’s golden ratio concerto and Maurice Ravel’s rhapsodic fantasy. At the opening concert of the Grandioso series, the ensemble, named after the soul of music, welcomes French violinist David Grimal, a very unique figure in international concert life, as its returning guest.
