Karen Shahgaldyan violinist holds lecture and mini concert on Monday 25 February 2019, from 3 p.m. in the Auditorium of the Main Building.

Malta – The new center of tourism and classical music attraction
The theme of the lecture:
Introducing the highly successful festivals, competitions and masterclasses held in Malta as well as the possibilities of how to apply, participate on these events.
Only the teachers and students can participate on the programmes.
Graduated from Moscow State Conservatory in the class of Prof. Victor Tretiakov and postgraduate studies with Proff. Maya Glezarova. He has participated in master classes given by Yehudi Menuhin, Victor Spivakov, Grigori Zhislin and Evgeniia Chugaeva. From 1998 to 2002 Karen Shahgaldyan performed in the staff of famous Moscow Virtuosi chamber orchestra under Vladimir Spivakov. In the seasons 2003-2004 and 2004-2005 he has appeared as soloist with various orchestras playing on Stradivari violin given to him on loan from the Ministry of Culture of Russian Federation. He played as a soloist in such halls as Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, New York, Royal Festival Hall, London, Bolshoi Theatre, Moscow. Karen Shahgaldyan is a laureate of International Pablo de Sarasate Competition (Spain).
