In this two-part concert, young talents from the Folk Music Department—both students and teachers—will take the stage. The musical goals, repertoire, and artistic philosophies of the two ensembles are remarkably different, yet they share a common bond: an unconditional love for folk music and the professional humility and expertise with which they approach these cultural treasures. This evening, the two folk music ensembles will complement each other, promising an outstanding concert experience. The Talléros ensemble, formed in Békéscsaba in 2015, is dedicated to performing traditional folk music from Hungarian-speaking regions with the utmost authenticity. In recent years, the ensemble has become renowned for showcasing the diverse folk music of the ethnic groups in Békés County. PásztorHóra is celebrating its 10th anniversary with this concert. Their work exemplifies how folk music can be both historical and contemporary, blending tradition with the vibrant energy of the urban folk dance house movement and the professionalism of musicians from various genres.
