We are all here! – Amadinda Percussion Group & Gábor Presser New Year's Eve Concert

Some of the unique selling points of the New Year’s Eve concerts of Amadinda and Gábor Presser are the productions that are rarely performed or have never been heard before, or that are played on only a single occasion. An example of the intense interest shown by the public in these features going back nearly two decades is that the concerts are sold out year after year, with many booking their places weeks or even months in advance. As is now tradition, the first half of the concert is structured on the most popular works from the Amadinda repertoire. The minutes prior to midnight are given over to the music of Johann Sebastian Bach, and the dying embers of the old year are accompanied by the gongs of Amadinda. The second half is one of unrepeatable moments. The first production of the New Year is traditionally a Strauss polka before the second host of the evening, Gábor Presser, takes to the stage.
