Dear Participant,

We have collected below the most important information regarding the data processing in connection with the carry out of the BARTÓK World Competition and Festival 2019.

The present information sheet relates exclusively to the online part of the competition since we process the data of the finalists of the Competition differently.

Legal basis of the data processing: It is the legitimate interest of the Data Controller to process the personal data provided by the applicants in the interest of the carry out of the Competition.[1]

The purpose of the data processing: online participation in the Competition and the administration and the contacts necessary for the carry out of the Competition.    

 The duration of the data processing: The Data Controller stores the personal data of the participants for 90 days after the Competition and deletes them after this period, including also the works submitted online.               

Access to data: exclusively the colleagues carrying out the Competition may have access to the provided Data to a very limited extent. The jury may become acquainted exclusively with the pseudonyms/motto and cannot have access to the personal data even indirectly.                    

The Data Controller does not use any Data Processor and does not transfer the personal data to any third persons.            

The Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music as Data Controller uses its best efforts to ensure that the above mentioned data processing complies with the provisions set out in the Act No. CXII of 2011 on Informational Self-Determination and Freedom of Information („Privacy Act”) and of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the  protection of natural persons with regarding to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation; abbreviation: GDPR)
