Jazz Double Bass admission requirements for non-degree studies

I. Classical

• Two performance pieces (slow and fast)
• Scales, harmony divisions until the 7th position

II. Jazz

• Performance of three different styles (tempos) of standards (with a structure of theme-accompaniment-improvisation-theme)
• Presentation of 15 standards as a repertoire (accompaniment, theme)
• Sight reading
• Finding the bass note by ear (on random chords)
• Blues accompaniment in various tempos (between 60 and 220 bpm) in any key
