2005: He received his DLA degree; the title of his doctoral thesis: Thoughts on Piano Playing
MASTER CLASSES: He attended the master classes of György Sebők, Annie Fischer, András Mihály, and Géza Anda in Switzerland.
TEACHING ACTIVITIES:
He has been teaching at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music since 1973.
INVITED LECTURER, MASTER CLASSES:
He regularly gives master classes in Hungary:
Since 1990, every summer, in Tapolca.
Since 1996, every summer, in Zebegény.
And occasionally abroad:
In Germany, France, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Finland, Poland, Japan and India.
He has been invited lecturer at the Music Academy of Ljubljana since 1992.
Successes of his students:
Many of his students have won prizes at national and international competitions. At the Mozart Competition of the Music Academy in 1992 – 1st and 2nd Prize. At the Chopin Competition in 1993 – 1st and 3rd Prize. Gergely Bogányi was the winner of the 1997 Liszt Competition, and Seki Yuko was the winner in Rome.
MAJOR CONCERTS:
Besides the major Hungarian concert halls the radio and television, he has performed in most of the European countries, in Cuba and India. His repertoire includes a significant part of the solo and chamber compositions of European music from Bach until our days. He has played nearly 50 piano concertos of classical and contemporary composers at public concerts.
