Grigory Kalinovsky’s violin masterclasses at Liszt Academy

Course dates:

28 February 2025 10:00-13:00;16:00-19:00, (Main Building, Room I),

March 1, 2025: 10:00-13:00; 14:30-16:30 (Main Building, "XL" Kupolaterem).

 

Participation and registration:

Active participants:

BA, MA, students studying at the Liszt Academy, as well as exchange students, students of the School for Exceptional Young Talents, and doctoral students are eligible to apply as active participants.

Application deadline: Tuesday 25 February 12:00 PM

The schedule of active participants will be posted on the Liszt Academy website a few days before the course.

 

Passive participants:

Only students and teachers of the Liszt Academy and the Bartók Conservatory, as well as students of the Exceptional Talent Training Programme, are eligible to participate in the course. Pre-registration is not required.

Grigory Kalinovsky is a world-renowned violinist and teacher, who began his studies in St. Petersburg with Tatyana Liberova and graduated from the Manhattan School of Music in New York. Since 2013 he has been a faculty member at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, but has also taught at his former school, the Manhattan School of Music. He has thaught at prestigious festivals such as the Bowdoin International Music Festival, Soesterberg International Music Festival, Il Violino Magico, Manhattan in the Mountains, and Pinchas Zukerman's Young Artists Program. He has given concerts at Carnegie Hall and the Musikhalle Grosser Saal in Hamburg, and has given master classes mainly in America and Asia.
