Marianna Bednarska is a lecturer at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, a Yamaha Artist, and Kolberg Mallet Artist. She studied at the Stuttgart University of Music and the Haute École de Musique in Geneva.

In 2019, she was a laureate of the 74th Geneva International Music Competition and winner of the Prix Credit Suisse Jeunes Solistes. She has performed at prestigious festivals such as the Lucerne Festival, Davos Festival, and Solsberg Festival, and has collaborated with renowned orchestras including the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Komische Oper Orchestra, Sinfonia Varsovia, and the Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra.

Her debut album, Marimba Concertos (Dacapo Records, 2014), recorded in collaboration with composer Anders Koppel, received critical acclaim from The New York Times, Gramophone, and Deutschlandfunk. She also took part in the project “100 for 100. Musical Decades of Freedom”, which was awarded two Fryderyk Awards.
