PARTICIPATION AND APPLICATION:

Active participants: Only Liszt Academy students (BA, MA, non-degree, TMA 60 piano, exceptional Young talents, Doctoral School) may apply.

Passive participants: Only students and teachers of the Liszt Academy of Music and the Bartók Conservatory, as well as students of the Trainer of Extraordinary Talents are eligible to participate in the course. Pre-registration is not required.

 

The schedule of the active participants will be posted on the Liszt Academy website a few days prior to the course.

 

Born in Italy in 1986, Martina Frezzotti began studying the piano at the age of six. At 17, she became one of the last pupils of the legendary Russian pianist Lazar Berman at the International Piano Academy in Imola, Italy. She later studied under the renowned pianist Elisso Virsaladze and completed her PhD at the Moscow P.I. Tchaikovsky State Conservatory in 2012.

Throughout her career, Frezzotti has widely performed in Europe, USA, Russia and Japan. She has given solo recitals and lecture concerts in the major cities of Italy, UK, Germany, Austria, Spain, France, Slovenia, Croatia, Poland, Greece, Belgium, Malta, Russia, Ukraine, Japan, USA, in such halls as the Warsaw Philharmonic, Wiener Saal of Salzburg Festspiele, the Kiev National Philharmonia, Osaka Kawai Hall, various halls of the Moscow State Conservatory, the Memorial House of Sviatoslav Richter, Salon Klavierhaus in New York, and many others; she has performed twice at Carnegie Hall, most recently last month with an acclaimed all-Chopin recital.

Martina is the recipient of numerous awards. In 2020, she received the Gold Medal at the 2nd Vienna International Music Competition, being already finalist and semifinalist in major International Competition worldwide.

In addition to performing and recording, Martina is Principal Piano Professor at the G. Tartini Music Conservatory in Trieste, Italy. She regularly gives international masterclasses for prestogious venues and Universities.
