“... I was impressed by the power of his sound, which he achieved effortlessly, the coherence of his music, which is direct and free from questionable mannerisms. Today, Pascal Iannone is among those pianists who can not only play and interpret but also face the most challenging aspects of the virtuoso repertoire.”
Aldo Ciccolini encouraged Pasquale Iannone with these words, and Iannone repaid his trust with his loyalty, precision, and enthusiasm.
Pasquale Iannone is recognized both as a pianist and an internationally acclaimed teacher. He has successfully participated in prestigious international competitions such as the “Casella” in Naples, the “Gina Bachauer” in Salt Lake City, the “New Orleans” (USA), and the “Web Concert Hall International” (USA).
Throughout his career, he has performed recitals and as a soloist in Italy, the United States, Japan, Germany, Romania, Spain, Belgium, Turkey, South Africa, France, South Korea, England, Scotland, Venezuela, and Mexico.
He has graced concert halls like Carnegie Hall in New York, Sala “Verdi” in Milan, and Kumho Recital Hall in Seoul. In Turkey, he successfully performed with the Wiener Kammersymphonie, in Mexico, he collaborated with the Orquesta Sinfonica del Estado de México. In June 2014, he was invited to serve as a jury member at the “Gina Bachauer International Artists Piano Competition” in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.
From late 2014 and into early 2015, he toured in China and performed in Budapest with the MAV Symphony Orchestra for the Nino Rota Concerto Soirée. In the remainder of 2015, he played in Ankara with the Baskent Chamber Orchestra, debuted in Bulgaria with Beethoven’s “Emperor” Concerto, and received acclaim for his recital in Milan’s “Sala Verdi”. He also performed in Munich (Gasteig, Carl Orff Saal), made his debut in Krakow, Poland, and toured China in 2017. In 2018, he successfully introduced his talents in Malta and Portugal. In 2021, he served as a jury member for the Bayreuth-Weimar Franz Liszt International Piano Competition.
As an educator, his students have achieved outstanding results in major international competitions. His recordings and performances, including Moszkowski op. 59 concerto and Scharwenka’s 4th concerto, have earned him recognition as one of the best Italian pianists abroad due to his extensive repertoire.
In the past three years, Pasquale Iannone has performed extensively as a soloist and with symphony orchestras. He has numerous commitments from late 2021 to 2022, including a performance of Moszkowski’s Piano Concerto op. 59 in the United States. Recently, the renowned musical magazine “Amadeus” published his latest release, featuring Liszt's B-minor sonata and Beethoven’s 7th symphony in Liszt's solo piano version.
