The cellist Valentin Ceccaldi is one of the most prominent artists of the 30s generation of French jazz today. He plays in such influential ensembles as the Théo Ceccaldi Trio, Kutu, Papier Ciseau (Émile Parisiennel), the Darrifourcq/Hermia/Ceccaldi formation and Bonbon Flamme. He has recorded with three other ensembles in his collaboration with the BMC label, following releases with Qöölp and L'Arbre Rouge, and most recently a duo album with Leila Martial.

The cellist has an extremely broad musical horizon, ranging from contemporary jazz to improvisation and classical music.

On 6 February, the focus will be on discovering ourselves and expressing our feelings through free improvisation. In addition, students will explore the themes of interaction and immediate composition.

The master class is supported by the MOL-New Europe Foundation in the framework of the Felunolva! programme.
