Call for application for instrumentalists participating in opera exam
The material of the opera exam closing the first semester of 2022/23 will be a new contemporary opera written by eight composition students of the Liszt Academy. The piece is made based on the tragedy by Zsigmond Czakó.
The piece is written for a small chamber ensemble.
We are expecting applications for the following instruments from those who would like to participate in the production. Credits may be given for the performance.
- flute–alto flute
- clarinet–bass clarinet
- vibraphone + small percussion instruments
- violin
- viola
- cello
- piano

Rehearsals:
between 12 and 23 December 2022: one reading rehearsal (correction rehearsal) will be held with the chamber music ensemble to familiarize with the material
between 1 (Sunday) and 10 (Tuesday) January 2023: two correction rehearsals and two seated rehearsals will be held between 9.00 and 14.00
11-12-13 January 2023 (Wednesday–Friday): stage rehearsals
14 January 2023 (Saturday), 19.00: main rehearsal
Exam performance:
15 January 2023 (Sunday), 19.00, Solti Hall
4 credits may be given for performing.
