Chamber Music Department's Chamber Music Workshop

The stage is yours!

The Chamber Music Department and Concert and Event Centre of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music will hold a chamber music workshop once again. 

What will participants receive?

Groups with the best plans, material and performance will be given performance opportunities by the Liszt Academy at the Academy and/or in other venues.

What material should you prepare?

There will be two rounds.  

ROUND 1: PRESELECTION

Project or program plans have to be submitted in the form of one pagers (1 page in PDF format), including the below points:

• Name of the chamber music formation and introduction of participants 
• Presentation of the project idea – explaning choice of repertoire
• Ideas on the means of performance (collaboration with other forms of art – projections, literature, dance; organizing pieces into musical suites, etc.)

One group may submit several ideas/programs (recommended).

ROUND 2: PRESENTATION OF PROJECT IDEAS

Groups chosen by the jury will present their project idea and give short performance. 

The maximum amount of time available is 7 minutes per presentation and 10 minutes per short performance. 

Selected groups of round 1 will get help from the Career Office to put together their presentation and complete their project within the frameworks of a workshop. 

Who is the jury?

The professors of the Chamber Music Department and András Csonka, Programme Director.

Who is the announcement for?

Those who wish to perform, get experience and learn from the ideas of others.

Date of workshop: Wednesday 6 March 2024, Auditorium I

Round 2 presentations: Wednesday 13 March 2024, Auditorium I
