Chamber Music Exchange organized by the Chamber Music Department
The Chamber Music Department of the Liszt Academy and the Concert Center of the Liszt Academy are once again announcing the Chamber Music Exchange.
Do you have a good chamber music group or have you been working with your partners for a long time? Are you thinking about giving concerts or performing? Do you have any plans? The school year is starting, open your eyes, try your wings!
The Chamber Music Department of the Liszt Ferenc University of Music and the Concert Center of the Liszt Academy are once again announcing the Chamber Music Exchange.
What is this?
The Liszt Academy will provide the groups that come with the best plans, materials and productions with performance opportunities at the Liszt Academy in 2026.
ROUND I: PRE-Selection
The first round is a pre-selection, for which a short description of the project or program plan, max. 1 page long (so-called one pager) must be submitted in pdf format, which includes:
- the name of the applicant's chamber music formation, introduction of its members,
- a description of the project - the aspects of the composition, selection of pieces,
- ideas related to the method of performance (involving other art forms - projection, literature, dance, etc., organizing pieces into a musical set, etc.).
A group can apply with one project idea.
ROUND II: PRESENTATION OF PROJECT PLANS
Presentation of the project plans selected by the jury and presentation of a musical excerpt.
The time available for a presentation is 7 minutes, the musical illustration is max. 10 minutes.
The Career Office of the Liszt Academy will provide assistance in developing the presentation of the projects selected by the jury in round I and in developing the project in a workshop.
Who is the jury?
The teachers of the Liszt Academy and András Csonka, program director.
Who is the call for?
Those who would like to perform, test themselves in a live situation, learn from the ideas of others and further develop their own ideas.
Deadline for submitting project/program plans: Tuesday, September 30, 2025
The workshop date is: Friday, October 10, 2025 (14h, Room I.), to which we are waiting for everyone who submitted a project. The winners will also be announced here.
Round II, presentation of project plans: Thursday, October 16, 2025 from 2 p.m.
