Exam and diploma requirements

The following programme must be considered at every mid-academic year and end of the year exam:

• two etudes with different characters
• the performance of three pieces from different music history eras, one of which must be played from memory

Orchestral parts and secondary instrument exam:

• performance of significant orchestral solos, taking into consideration the current auditions and the programme of the Symphonic Orchestra of the Liszt Academy.

BA Diploma Concert

It is compulsory to play at least three pieces from different music history eras at the concert. The played concertos (or movements) or other pieces must be played from memory. One chamber music piece may also be added into the programme (optional). Choosing movements is possible, the maxmimum length is 35 minutes, which must be played without intermission.

MA Diploma Concert

It is compulsory to play at least three pieces from different music history eras at the concert. The concertos or other significant pieces must be play from memory. Adding a chamber music piece is compulsory. Choosing movements is not allowed, the length is a maximum of 50 minutes, which must be play with intermission.
