Information about the examination period of the 1st semester of the academic year 2023/24
Dear Students,
Registering for the exams of the first semester in Neptun is available from 11 December (Mon).
It is the student’s individual responsibility to register for exams in the NEPTUN system for each course with an exam requirement based on the curriculum (please check the curriculum, which corresponds to your programme).
In case a student does not register for an exam, their name will not appear on the professor’s exam sheet. Students’ names on the exam sheet indicate for the professor which students want to participate in the exam. In case a student does not register for an exam, it means that they do not wish to participate in the exam. In case of not registering for an exam, receiving a grade is not possible, even if the student shows for the exam. Please register for every exam that needs to be taken, otherwise the administrator will not be able to enter grade. Registering for an exam after the date of the exam has passed, is only possible if a fee of 5000 HUF is paid per missed exam registration.
Please check your curriculum and verify which subjects are to be completed with an exam ("E" in the curriculum) and ones with a semester grade ("SG" in the curriculum) this semester (including main subjects), and start planning your exam period as soon as possible by registering for the exams in NEPTUN. Exams with more than one exam date may have a limited capacity (how many people can participate at most) for each date. For such type of exams, it is not possible to register once available places have been filled. Registration for every exam is closed 72 hours before the start of the exam. The professor in charge may refuse to allow the student to take the exam or announce a new exam date.
Please note that exams can only be taken for subjects that have been registered during Registration Period in the beginning of the semester, i.e. September. Comprehensive exams (szigorlat) are also considered exams, so registration for comprehensive exams is also required. You can find the exam dates in NEPTUN.
For further information regarding technical aspects of registering for exams in the NEPTUN system, please see check the NEPTUN guide on our website: https://uni.lisztacademy.hu/for-students/neptun-117324
