Information on distance education of the Chamber Music Department
Based on the § 3 of Instruction No. 15/2020. (22.IX.) of the President and the Chancellor (Excerpt) of modified procedures and tasks in connection with the measures regarding the decrease of the risks regarding the spreading of the coronavirus and being applicable in the academic year 2020/2021 and in the concert season, the information on distance education of the Chamber Music Department is the following:
- Classes of the Chamber Music Department will be held online from 28 September 2020 until the end of autumn break 1 November 2020 (planned end date) according to the following restrictions.
- The chamber music groups – based on their own decision – may participate in the classes online or continue the classes in-person during the distance education period in the buildings of the Academy on the condition that the group members attend the class in the previously set time and place. After discussing with the professor in charge, group members take part from the classroom in the online class with their chamber music professor, or record their class in the classroom based on the professor’s instructions, or rehearse in the classroom. Outside school hours chamber music groups may rehearse in LF8, WE52, VÖ35 and Semmelweis Building until 21:00.
- In case there is at least one chamber music group member who wishes to avoid physical contact with other students due to the pandemic situation, the student – and the rest of the chamber music group members if the rehearsal cannot be held without the one student who wishes to continue the chamber music classes online - may receive a different task from the chamber music teacher.
- The Chamber Music Department will later evaluate the chamber music class method mentioned above and decide if the professors in charge may participate in the chamber music and string quartet classes in person. People involved will be informed about the decision in advance.
