Associate Professor of the Liszt Academy visits Southeast Asia
Dr Dávid Báll gave masterclasses, lectures and concerts, and participated as jury member of a competition, from Malaysia through Hong Kong to Macau.
The Associate Professor of the Liszt Academy successfully concluded his nearly three-week trip to Asia, where he gave concerts, lectures and masterclasses at UCSI University, a private institution in Malaysia, and then at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and the Hong Kong Baptist University. On 22 and 23 February, he also served as a judge for the region's major music competition, The 8th International Liszt Ferenc International Competition in Kuala Lumpur, which attracted nearly 300 applicants. From 24 February he gave master classes for talented pianists in Melaka, and on 2 and 8 March he met and worked with outstanding students at the Harmony Music & Arts Education Center in Macau.
