Bence Szigeti finished second at the Szeged IGF International Guitar Competition
The Szeged IGF International Guitar Competition was held on 16 October, and Bence Szigeti, a first-year student of András Csáki at the Liszt Academy, won 2nd place.
At the spring selection, eight young guitarists were chosen by an international jury based on the submitted videos to take part in the final round in October. The submitted videos were judged by a prestigious international jury. Contrary to preliminary plans, the final round was also held online, and the event could be followed live.
Szeged IGF is the oldest guitar event in Hungary, bringing the instrument's excellent artists and colorful programs to the city of Szeged from all over the world. The Szeged International Guitar Festival was founded by Dávid Pavlovits in 1999, at the same time as the competition itself.
