Ella Schmalzl won Slovenian competition

Musical Lace From Idrija, a Slovenian international online music competition, was held 27 to 28 February 2021, where Ella Schmalzl, a student of the Liszt Academy's School for Exceptional Young Talents, won first prize. In the competition, over 200 competitors from 29 countries competed in front of a four-member international jury. Professor István Varga's student received 99.75 points in the 3rd age group out of a possible 100, achieving the highest score received by a cellist in all age groups.
