Of the fifty-six entries received, Dániel Lázár, MA in Composition (with a specialisation in teaching), won one of the special prizes at the competition titled "Für Anima".
Due to the epidemic, the final round of the Für Anima composition competition, organized by the Anima Musicae Chamber Orchestra, was held behind closed doors in the Marble Hall of Bartók Radio on 13 September. Dániel Lázár, student of our university, was awarded the special prize for best recording by the members of the orchestra. The jury consisted of renowned Hungarian composers and performers, its members being cellist Ditta Rohmann, composers Barnabás Dukay, Balázs Horváth, Péter Tornyai, Zsolt Serei and László Tihanyi (the latter as head judge), and violinist László G. Horváth. The first prize and the special prize by the orchestra were awarded to Gyula Bánkövi, the second prize to Jonatán Zámbó, and the third prize to Ádám Brandenburg. The special prize by FUGA was jointly awarded to Gyula Bánkövi and Viktor Molnár.
According to László Tihanyi, colourful and diverse works were submitted, establishing the significance of the competition by Anima Musicae, and the jury was especially pleased to get to know the works of promising young people in addition to a mature composer.
The recording of the concert program was broadcast on Bartók Radio, as part of its Ars Nova programme on 15 September, at 10 p.m.
