Students of the String Department participated successfully in international competitions

In early April, two of our students were among the winners.

Sebestyén Sztathatosz, BA second-year student of violin (Prof. Miklós Szenthelyi's student) won 1st prize in the two-round online competition of the King's Peak International Music Competition (USA) on 1 April.

Bence Szigeti, a first-year student of guitar (Prof. András Csáki's student), won 4th place in the Age Group 3 of the 11th International Competition for Young Guitarists «Andrés Segovia». The German-organised competition took place online from 1 to 3 April. In Bence's age group, 23 contestants from 16 countries submitted videos, from which the prestigious international jury selected ten contestants for the final round.
