Teaching activities:
He has been teaching at the Piano Department of the Franz Liszt Academy of Music since 1973. Beginning with1987, he was appointed to be the head of the piano department several times. He has educated generations of young pianists, who regularly give concerts around the world. Between 1997 and 2004, he was Rector (President) of the Franz Liszt Academy of Music.
 
Invited lectures, master classes:
Invited lecturer of the Nagoya University of Arts. Besides Hungary, he regularly gives master classes in Finland, the USA, and Japan.
 
Jury member of major international competitions. He was the head of the jury of the Budapest International Liszt Piano Competition three times.
 
Major concerts:
In 1972-73 he was touring in Germany with the Orchestra of the Hungarian Radio. In 1973, he won the second prize at the Piano Competition of the Hungarian Radio. Ha made his US début in Carnegie Hall, New York City, in 1978. Out of Europe he has given concerts in many cities of Japan. He is an appreciated performer of the national and international concert life; his concerts has been received with recognition both in the countries of Europe as well as overseas and in the countries of the Far-East. His repertoire spans from the Baroque period to the compositions of the 20th century – but his main interest focuses on the Classical and Romantic periods.
