ORCHESTRAL MEMBERSHIPS:
He is a member of the Festetics String Quartet (István Kertész, Erika Petőfi, Péter Ligeti, Rezső Pertorini). This is the first Hungarian ensemble, which plays classical quartet music on period instruments. The quartet had been formed to popularize Classical quartet-music; they include in their repertoire mainly the works of the Viennese composers: Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, and Schubert. At the same time they deem it important to play the compositions of the 18th and 19th century Hungarian composers as well. Their high-standard activity has admirers also in far away lands; they had been on tour in the United States three times, and their Haydn-album has received international acclaim.
