Weiner Leó National Chamber Music Competition 2023
The Weiner Foundation and the Chamber Music Department of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music announce the Weiner Leó National Chamber Music Competition in three categories.
The competition is open to musicians of Hungarian and foreign nationality who were born after 1 February 1993, who have graduated from a Hungarian secondary or higher musical institution, or who are currently actively enrolled students of a Hungarian secondary or higher musical institution, including doctoral studies.

There is no application fee for the competition.

Prizes (in all three categories):
- 1st prize: HUF 200.000 scholarship / player, concert opportunities in Hungary and abroad
- 2nd prize: HUF 150.000 scholarship / player
- 3rd prize: HUF 120.000 scholarship / player
- Weiner Perfomer Prize: HUF 600.000 / group, for the best performance of the Weiner piece
The jury has the right to decide not to award certain prizes.
- Audience Prize: HUF 200.000 ft / group
The competition will be held in two-rounds in each category, with the first round taking place at the time of application with the submission of a video recording, and the second round taking the form of a live concert at the Liszt Academy.

Round II (live concert):
60–70 perc közötti szabadon választható koncertműsor, amelyben szerepelnie kell legalább egy bécsi klasszikus műnek.
Chamber music with stings and piano category:

60 to 70 minutes of freely chosen concert programme
Chamber music with winds and piano category:
The following formations may participate:
- flute-piano duo
- clarinet-piano duo
- oboe-piano duo
- French horn-piano duo
- trumpet-piano duo
- flute-oboe-clarinet-French horn-bassoon quintet
- trumpet-trumpet-French horn-trombone-tuba quintet

40 to 50 minutes of freely chosen concert programme
