Kossuth Prize laureate cellist Csaba Onczay has been giving master classes for 25 years in Japan, while he is also teaching students arriving from there: as a recognition of these efforts, he recently received the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon Award.
László Bársony Liszt Prize winner viola artist wins this year's Weiner Leó Memorial Prize

The Weiner Leó Memorial Prize, founded by the Weiner Leó Legacy Committee at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, was awarded on the 134th anniversary of the composer's birth. Recognition is given to outstanding musicians and music teachers who have successfully devoted themselves to teaching and music for many decades in the spirit of Leó Weiner.
Liszt Academy students gain victory at Weiner Leó National Chamber Music Competition

The ensemble formed by students of Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music Csongor Korossy-Khayll (violin), Kristóf Tóth (violin), Julianna Albert (viola) and Gergely Devich (cello) won the category ’string quartets’ at Weiner Leó National Chamber Music Competition. Guest students of the Academy Sebastian Wyss (violin) and Tony Chen (piano) triumphed at the category ’violin-piano sonata’.
