The Award Committee granted the 2020 Bartók-Pásztory Prize to violinist Barnabás Kelemen, professor at the Liszt Academy, and composer Péter Zombola. The university will hold the award ceremony on September 3.

On the occasion of the national holiday on 15 March, in memory of the 1848–49 Revolution and War of Independence, several current and former lecturers of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music received state honours: Dénes Várjon, Csaba János Somos, Katalin Hraschek, Péter Erdei, Gábor Bretz, Vilmos Szabadi, Dr. Andrea Vigh and István Ruppert.
