Andor Éva Memorial Competition 2016
The Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music and the Liszt Academy Foundation announce the Andor Éva Memorial Competition for students of the Department of Vocal Studies of the Liszt Academy. Deadline for applications: 1 March 2016.
The competition is being staged from 11-13 March 2016 in classroom X and the Sir Georg Solti Chamber Hall of the Liszt Academy (1061 Budapest, Liszt Ferenc tér 8.).
The competition is open to registered students of the Department of Vocal Studies of the Liszt Academy.
There is no age limit.
Competition programme
Friday 11 March, X classroom, Liszt Academy:
9 am: registration
10 am: formal opening and draw for the competitor order – the competition is opened by chair of the jury Balázs Kocsár, conductor, and Katalin Halmai, opera singer.
11 am – 1 pm and from 3 pm: 1st round
Saturday 12 March, X classroom, Liszt Academy:
11 am – 1 pm and from 3 pm: 2nd round
Sunday 13 March, Sir Georg Solti Chamber Hall, Liszt Academy:
7 pm: awards ceremony, concert given by the winners
Admission to the competition and gala concert is free up to the maximum capacity of the venues (classroom X: 40 people, Sir Georg Solti Chamber Hall: 300 people).

- 1st prize: HUF 100,000 scholarship / Liszt Academy Foundation
- 2nd prize: HUF 80,000 scholarship / Liszt Academy Foundation
- 3rd prize: HUF 60,000 scholarship / Liszt Academy Foundation

- For the best performance of a Kodály song
