Bank of China Scholarship for the academic year 2024/2025

The Bank of China together with the Friends of The Liszt Academy of Music and the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music founded the Bank of China Scholarship with the aim of supporting the musical education of the highly talented Hungarian and international students of the Liszt Academy.

 

Who can apply?

Full-time students can apply from any academic year of any BA, MA, TMA, RTK or one-tier instrumental and vocal art program if they are active students in the academic year 2024/2025. The scholarship can be used for covering the tuition fee, for instruments and instrument cases, for expenses related to masterclasses and competitions or any other costs occurring in connection with the studies.

 

Amount of the scholarship:

For the 2024/2025 academic year the amount of the scholarship is 600.000 HUF per student.

 

Application:

The application form shall be submitted in ENGLISH (see below).

 

Application deadline:

Friday, 21 February 2025, 10 a.m.

 

The selection process:

The Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music and the Friends of The Liszt Academy will conduct a preliminary selection of the submitted applications and will propose 20 students for the scholarship to the Committee consisting of the representatives of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, the Friends of The Liszt Academy and the Bank of China.

This Committee will select the 10 scholarship holders.

The list of the scholarship holders will be announced until the end of the academic year 2024/2025 on the Academy’s website as well as on its FB-page. Additionally, they will be informed via e-mail as well.

In case of an unsuccessful application, individual e-mails with the results will not be sent.

 

Responsibility of scholarship holders:

If organized, scholarship holders have to perform at the Bank of China gala concert. Upon request of the Bank of China, scholarship holders can be asked to submit a written report about the use of the scholarship by the end of the school year 2024/2025 to the International Affairs and Development Department of the Academy.
