The distinguished title of Young Steinway Artist was awarded in Hamburg to János Balázs Kossuth Prize-winning pianist, teacher at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, whose talent received high praise from the artistic director of the company at the ceremony.

Karin Nelson, organ teacher at the University of Oslo and Gothenburg, was recently a guest of the Church Music Department at the Liszt Academy. In the master class of the renowned artist, students learned about the Baroque Mass repertoire and the culture of improvisation behind it.

The professor of the Tianjin Juilliard School will hold lessons on 28 October, in the Room X of the main building.

The principal violist of the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra will hold lessons on 16 and 17 October.

Students of composition at our university, András Gelléri and Márk Csernovkszy finished first and second in this year's Creative Art competition, respectively. The third place was awarded to pianist Gergő Kovács, who graduated at our institution.

Imperial Princess Kako visited the Liszt Academy of Music on Monday, where following a short walk and a mini-concert by some Japanese students, she talked enthusiastically about the special features of the main building and the education there.
