The Erasmus+ cooperation partnership for online music education initiated by the Kodály Institute of the Liszt Academy has received an award for excellence from the Tempus Public Foundation.

"He joined us driven by dedication and exceptional attention, keen to share the knowledge he acquired through his remarkable international career," says Gyula Fekete, Vice-President of Research and International Affairs, Head of the Composition Department in his praise of Péter Eötvös, the world-famous composer-conductor who died at the age of 80.

On April 12th the Double Bass Sub-department of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music will be organizing for the second time the Tibay Zoltán National Competition dedicated to the professor who was known around the world of his musical sensitivity as well as virtuosity.

Some seventy-five Hungarian and foreign students, along with their instructors, went on a three-day field trip recently to Győr, Rohrau, Eisenstadt, Eszterháza, and Sopron.

The Woodwind and Brass Department is organizing the two-day event in collaboration with Buffet-Crampon. Sanja Romić and Matthieu Petitjean will give lessons to the students of the university.

The event is open to students of the Liszt Academy and the Bartók Conservatoire with prior registration.

The Zagreb professor will visit the Liszt Academy on 1 and 2 March.

Professors from the Conservatorio Superior De Música De Vigo will be hosted by the Woodwind & Brass Department of the Liszt Academy from 20 to 22 February.

The scholarship made possible thanks to the generous support of Japanese companies in Hungary, is awarded to young, talented Japanese students who study at Liszt Academy.
